Ode to Rachel...

Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table, at which he’s fed.

Tax his tractor, Tax his mule, Teach him taxes are the rule.

Tax his work, Tax his pay - he works for peanuts anyway!

Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his trousers, Tax his coat.

Tax his ties, Tax his shirt, Tax his work and Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he tries to think.

Tax his cigars, Tax his beers, If he cries then Tax his tears.

Tax his car, Tax his gas, find any way to tax his ass!

Tax him more, then let him know

That you won’t be done 'til he has no dough

When he screams and when he hollers;

Then tax him more, take all his dollars

Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in which he’s laid…

Put these words upon his tomb: ‘Taxes drove me to my doom…’

When he’s gone, do not relax, It’s time to apply Inheritance Tax!

Getting that way, James!
I'm absolutely floored by the crass ineptitude of this dangerous crowd in Parliament, who are on track to bankrupt our country, one way or another!

It'll come to that one day, AK...

How does the manic 'energy bloke' see Tesco trucks being stranded for want of fuel to the shops.

Thesepeople are becoming evil...

Thanks for that - I hadn’t seen it before and it provided a welcome Budget Day consolation of sorts.

The poem is clearly in Labour’s collection of handy instruction manuals, though, along with ‘Animal Farm’ and ‘1984’; I imagine the first draft of the Budget Statement must have essentially paraphrased it in full before they watered it down for public consumption.

I have to admit I nicked it from a poster known as WWFC on the Biased BBC site - it sure ticks all the boxes! (He does get a hat-tip here).

Listening to Talk Radio this morning is confirming even more, that we're in for a really nasty left-wing attack , and they don't seem to understand - or won't listen to, a sane British public's concern about the UK going down the drain!

I know that within a couple of weeks of the new OAP rates next April, they'll be grabbed right back to waste on something very unpleasant!
