Let's hear it for real Sussex people...

Sussex...

My folks moved here in the 1940s
Dad worked here for ages
So did my uncles
I was born there
Lived there for ages
Went to school there
Played rugby, cricket and hockey there
Learned to drink beer there
Spent several weeks in various hospitals there
Met my wife there
Got married there
Had our wedding reception here (above)
Raised our children there
Worked for many years there

And all this without the need to have a fake duke and duchess hanging around!

They would credit the above to white privilege, most of us call it life.

An excellent county in which to burn effigies of those conspiring against the Crown.

And dukes and duchesses don't come more fake than those two. I wonder if they know where Sussex is?

Learned to drink beer? Ah yes, I remember how difficult those lessons were.

And although I am a Scot, when I got the chance to go south, I remember how good those South of England beers were and such variety - bitter, best, light, dark, brown, stout, milk stout, and then all those bottled beers. And the ciders, nectar. Alas no more.
And no "f" in lager.

Too right Thud!

We really don't need these people using our heritage! If they want something like that, I suppose they can find it where they end up, but they'll have to pay for it!

Chromers, in Lewes, they burn an effigy of the Pope on bonfire night!

Probably still smouldering as we speak!

Good point AK...

We don't really want them here and as we live just over the border, it's bad enough getting there on the A21 anyway!

Doon, We are lucky having several small breweries down here, with the best being Shepherd Neame in Faversham. Harveys of Lewes are quite good as well, but charge a huge premium, which makes smaller firms a better bet and often better beer!

When I worked for a firm in Paisley, it was always pints of Heavy! Is that still the case?

Would those two even dare show their faces?

I sincerely hope not,James

Pathetic couple of nonentities, so loved by the awful rags...
