Flashers...

One of my favourite newsreaders, Sophie Raworth, had to explain tonight that some pictures of girls who had been photographed in uncompromising situations, had been published on the internet.

There was the immediate apology for there being some 'Flash photography'...

Old Scrobs remembers pictures like these..;0)

Hallo Mr Scrobs. The missus and I have been off walkabouting for the past couple of weeks doing our utmost to avoid newspapers and the telly stations. Anything interesting been happening?

You might also like to know that we enjoyed a superb evening of fun and food with good friends at the George and Dragon in Broad Oak - of which we spoke earlier. Forgot to check whether it was a Shep's establishment, but I suspect not as they had an array of different pumps working on the bar. More fond memories to keep...

Are you absolutely sure about that, Di?

That's the Canterbury one, isn't it Reevers?

If it was Sheps, then you had a great ale there!

My BP is a Harveys man, and doesn't like Sheps as much, so therefore, I always try and find Sheps pubs on the way home, because he can be so boring when it comes to good beer!

Glad you had a pleasant break, I've just spent about eighteen hours painting the outside of house, and I'm not even a quarter of the way through..;0(

Yes sir, it sure is - except it is physically in Fordwich, a tiny village on the right hand side of the road just before you get to Broad Oak on the road out of Canterbury.

I used to drive to Canterbury every day a few years ago, and was paid well for it, so I cannot grumble, but it was a bugger during heavy traffic...

I still love East Kent, there's so much to like about the area, and even Broadstairs is still getting a mention, as we're doing some work on The Yarrow building, which is a real project!

Was up in Henlow recently - you may remember the place... Had to go to a funeral, but met up with old family there, which was lovely!

Henlow? Sorry, never heard of it! You must be confusing me with somebody else.

Nice to be back in the heat and humidity again after a chilly, wet trip to England.

It's not far from Hitchin, Reevers, but I forgot you'd left there years ago...

Ah, I see. Yes indeed, over 70 years ago! But I did drive by the turn off on the motorway about 25 years ago, but I suppose that doesn't count :-}
