So much at stake.

Bad result.

Oh definitely. But just for clarification, is Fooble a noun or a verb?

Aw Lils, its just that the technology for finding out whether a football has actually crossed the goal line isn't used, whereas all the other sports or most of them, make damn sure that with all that money at stake, a fair decision should be applied - especially where a goal line is the only place where a game can be won or lost!

I really don't understand why the fooble (football) authorities don't embrace the same kit that tennis courts etc have, and have to assume that they will lose money if they use it!

ahha! Like Hawkeye for the Cricket. Yes it seems daft not to use it at this level. England keep defying all my predictions.

To fooble: To give half the England defence unwarranted yellow cards so their players are unavailable for the quarter-final round against Italy (of whom yesterday's referee seems be a supporter; but not the guy on the goal line who missed his recent appt at Specsavers).

But I agree that it is high time appropriate technology was installed. That might happen when Blatter and Platini get kicked out and some younger more clued up on modern technology old farts (c: that rugby player fellow, Carlsberg or whatever his name was) get put in in their place. Or, alternatively when England get the benefit of some dodgy eyesight again.

Too true Reevers!

As a well respected local lady has just explained to me, while out walking JRT, the 'bung' is just not big enough!

Mrs S wonders if they'll have such technology in The Grolympics, which is a ponderable issue...

I suppose it all adds to the excitement and controversy.
