Red Ed - a chemical analysis...

Red Ediesel fuel is only slightly different chemically from regular automotive diesel fuel, but there can be a significant difference in cost. The cheaper Red Ediesel fuel could conceivably work in place of the more expensive automotive diesel fuel, but that would defeat the purpose of a fuel tax. In order to ensure that home heating oil, which is minimally taxed, is not used as diesel fuel, which can be heavily taxed, revenue agents require home heating oil to receive a special red dye. This liquid red dye can be detected in even the smallest samples taken for examination.

Using Red Ediesel for reasons other than home heating is generally considered a criminal act, since the buyer did not pay the proper tax for regular diesel fuel. If there is reasonable cause to inspect a vehicle's fuel tank or storage tank, inspectors can quickly and conclusively identify the presence of red diesel and take appropriate action against the offender. Without the creation of red diesel, it would take a trained chemist to differentiate between home heating oil and automotive diesel fuel.

Different countries use different solvent dyes to create their Red E-diesel, but the purpose is generally the same. The dye has no negative effects on the fuel itself, but it does allow revenue agents to determine at a glance if a violation has occurred.

Hi Scrobs...I could do with a dropof 'Red Ed', to get me going..I don't know where the Labout lot are going next, they seem to have total amnesia of the past 13years..I watched Hazel Blears this morning, on The Daily Politics Show, blatantly lying, just incredible.

How are things at The Turrets, i've been having a rest from blogging and have become an on-line Scrabble addict, but, today thought of my old 'blogging buddies', so, here I am!

There's me thinking you had been caught with a bit of red in your tank, thinking about it,you could I suppose run a static Diesel generator running on red that would charge the batteries on the new electricified cars, but then would that be the illegal use of the generator.

Hiyaaaah Trubley-Do-Daaaah!

Lovely to hear from you again! How are the pins holding up, well, not holding but standing up if you see what I mean!

Brillo has caught that Blears woman lying through her teeth, which as a chipmunk, I suppose is the only way in her case, so no change there!

The Turrets still suffers slightement from the same legacy of the other labour thieves, i.e. lack of business when it should be good, realisation that their investment was in everything and everyone they needed to shore up their failures, and keep themselves rich etc etc.

Bu we move on.

Now Scrabble on Line! That really could cause WW3 if my 'Chambers Extra Large Special Sod' was at hand day and night...

Hentry J! As if I'd ever dream of such a thing! What a fantastic idea!

We have a great aerial photograph of The Turrets which was taken during a hose restricted time one droughty summer.

It shows the Scrobs Inc. 'Drain Recovery System from Upper Floor Waste Disposal Water' in full flow - i.e. I used to bend the waste pipe from the bath upstairs, and click it into a piece of rainwater pipe, which carried the water across to the garage roof, and from there into a large water butt the size of a young swimming pool!

When the bath water had all gone, somehow the cold tap was left on on - oooh - several occasions!

You're no relation to G.A. Hentry are you?

Apols for typo!

Like that Reevers - they really are utterly useless in oppostition, almost as bad as when they administered things...

There was some idiot on Al Beeb (labour presumably, but might have been a Beeb repoerter), who said tha Miliband D should be given a job as Ambassador to the UN or some other non-job!

Why for God's sake; he was useless before, what sort of skills has he got! He can get on the Net and look around like the rest of his failed population have to.

A few years ago the local Victoria Wine stocked an excellent cheap Spanish plonk called "Ed's Red". I trust that name will now be dropped because of the contamination of the brand by our dear socialist leaders.

It might be worth popping in there and asking them Blues - you may get a 'scoop' with your local paper!

Always go for these plonks, they usually work better than the expensive stuff, after all, you only want to drink it, not faff around sniffing and spitting the stuff...

And who gives a monkeys what others think, it's your choice!
