Chilling...

Goodbye John Mackenzie, who 'talked' Bob Hoskins through the most chilling and memorable ending to any film I think I've ever seen...

Indeed. A great bit of acting and direction. A great film and the making of Sir Bob.

Pierce Brosnan - who'da thunk it ?

And Helen Miram as lovely as ever.

I have to say it's been pipped to the post for the best British gangster film ever. I honestly think that Guy Ritchie's Snatch is the best ever. A superb plot, grasp of cosmopolitan London, sublime camera work, deliberate and effective use of amateur theatrics ... truly terrifying underworld bosses depicted exactly as they are.

Clearly Guy Ritchie has taken a few serious head blows as his depiction of the fight scenes clearly demonstrate and his casting of Brad Pit was sheer genius. He took a lot of stick over the Pikey accent - but I was brought up in an area with lots of Pikeys and that is exactly what they were like.

If you've not seen it then be sure to give it a go. If you have and weren't impressed then try watching it again.

PS, 'Ultimate dog tease' on You Tube. Your family will howl with laughter as did mine.

The link is on my latest blog post if you want to get to it that way.

Most red-blooded males think that way Elecs...

Like the dog clip - and I'm searching for 'Snatch' just after I post this answer...

Oh FFS more slavering over Helen Mirren. I'll pop back when you've mopped up.

You eschew the relatively youthful delights of Cheryl Cole in favour of some past middle aged woman.

Actually..... :-)

Aw Pips - you understand about Helen Mirren!

She's always been high in our books as an actress worth watching - even before we know what the film/play is.

Some of her acting roles just stand out because she really gets the part to come alive.

I had to 'Gurgle' Cheryl Cole, and am still not interested...
