Mr Elias Sagtrouser has been supplying some various commodities to the local church, (like lead - for the third time this year...), and when he heard that Lils and Elbers were about to tie the knot, he arranged for a few of the lads to turn up and clonk out a little tune for the happy couple...
Here is a short piece to celebrate a great day for two lovely people!

Truly wonderful Scrobbers! Bell ringing is the tops. I am up bright and early to try and fix my false eyelashes and make sure I get my teeth in straight for the big day.
And there are people all over the world celebrating the L and E wedding day!
Happy new year.
Let me shower L & E with rice, confetti, flowers, sugared almonds and assorted blessings, in the various traditions known to me. All happiness!
A Happy New Year to you and yours, Scrobs!
It is a full moon tonight, the second full moon of December (and therefore called a Blue Moon.)
The last full moon on New Year's Eve was 1990, when Britain was still a free country. The next is in 2028, when I hope Britain will still be a free country.
All the best for 2010
It seemed tha best thing to do Lils!
Them thar bells done arf clang well!!
I expect you're all still up tripping the light fantastic...
;0)
Absolutely Hats!
Happy New Year to you!
Morning Elecs, Happy New Year to you and yours too!
That's a great idea Caronters!
I think another blessing is having Calfers back with a throat that isn't quite so on fire too...!
Now that I didn't realise Lakes!
I sincerely hope that the nulab experiment to downgrade our citizenship will be kicked out for good in the spring, and that 2028...blimey, I'll be 80....
But that is another discussion; we're all thinking of much happier times here, what with Lils and Elbers still up and apparently doing the Conga and there's still three days to go...
Happy New Year to you and yours as well!
'Tis wonderful news about Lils and Elbers Scrobs, isn't it.
Happy New Year to all at Scrobs Turrets, lets hope for better things....I feel a burst of optimism surging through my
Champagne laden veins.xx

Happy new year, Scrobs x
Morning Trubes, ideed it is good news, and we need some of that these days!
Happy New Year to you and the Trube Tribe, I agree about the potential for fresh air at last!
Morning Pips, and a Happy New Year to you as well!
Hope all is well in Poppet Land!
Someone said they were all camp oenologists but they looked quite straight, except the man with the beard, and I'd have them down as beer drinkers.
If elby organised the reception it would have been strong, bone-dry cider all the way. Possibly of the cloudy variety.
Happy New Year to you sir. I'm sure you will be raising a mug of homemade radish port pickled eggnog to the fortunate couple.
Owing to an ear infection and a necessary daily ingestion of 375 mg of co-amoxiclav I will be celebrating with a double strength camp coffee.
Idle, there's a lovely passage in 'The Nine Tailors', where the team are ringing - I think, a peal of Grandsire, and taking turns at the ropes.
The youngest member is given some time off, and 'the soft glug from the corner indicated that the Landlord's contributuion to the proceedings, was being gratefully sampled...'!
If you want the passage verbatim, you only have to ask...
Of course, I agree about Elbers' cider, he is way up there also because he understands what a glass of Robinson's 8.5% is all about too!
Mr Fuller, the Camp coffee is indeed an excellent pick-me-up, and I've been wondering about it's properties ever since it was advertised on Radio London in the sixties...
I'm sorry to hear about the ear infection though, I spent four days in Cannes on an unbelieveably drunken convention with the same problem.
I didn't hear a word from anyone, but they must have heard me gibbering all the time...
Please recover asap!
I spent Xmas drinking Camp coffee until I gave in, hung the expense and bought a small cafetiere. I love Whittards.
Pips, it must be good to startle your efficient and exquisite palte...
I'll try some again soon!
Pips, try 'Palate' it might make more sense...;0)
