Gently, gently...

...

End of final school term...

New hopes and dreams...

Shining eyes...

Moving away soon...

Maybe can't wait; maybe frightened...

Been there; done it - twice...

The song that brought it home - eventually...

...

Hi Merms; nice to hear from you again!

It's that time of year, when we used to go on hols with the girls. One year, we stayed over in Normandy, and Elder Daught was just about to get her exam results. I bought the Peter Gabriel cassette (several years ago this...), and we played it non-stop.

Fast forward to every holiday we had at around the same time for the next few years, (taking the same P.G. tape with us) and both Daughts were passing their exams, and eventually, leaving home...

It was the line '...in your Daddy's arms...' which used to get me - still does!

Sorry, couldn't listen to all the track even though I'm a Gabriel fan. Animation good too. Tis just that the lyrics are so innappropriate at this time. Hoping for better times.

O Dear Scrobs, I know just how you feel. I felt bereft when my darling daughters left home, one after the other, to study or work in London.
Good news is, that two of them live nearby but eldest lives with husband and two gorgeous grandchildren in Bramley, Surrey.
After seeing them all last weekend I miss them more since they returned home......Good news is ,we're going to stay with them in August.

Do your girls live nearby?

Hiya Pips,

It probably isn't the best track to listen to if things are a bit wobbly...

Chin up...!

Hiya Trubes!

Yup, it seemed a bugger at the time, but they aren't far away now, and what about all those emails, not to mention Bookface or whatever its called...?

I'm the only one who blogs in this clan, although I've noticed JRT getting a bit keen on new ideas on Google when my back's turned!
