Soaring...
BPs and I were discussing submarines yesterday, as well as partaking of a few sherberts and enduring several laughs, so here is the antidote...
Not bad for 1979...

Sorry pal, I must be getting old. That was an 'orrible noisy tuneless racket. I don't think I would have bought that in 1979 - in fact I am sure I didn't!
Sorry - this is a family blog! Besides, if I told you it would definitely give Pip and Trubes a touch of the vapours....
Since you ask, anything 1920s - 40s big band stuff is my regular background wallpaper noise and has been since I was in my teens. I've collected that rather than the Rolling Stones etc... and apart from the occasional lunacy displayed by Benny Goodman, the rest of it is generally, tuneful, foot-tapping and pleasantly relaxing.
It's the Sixies for me ! Beatles, Beachboys, Simon and Garfunkle, Dusty Springfieldetc, My more mature taste is quite ecletic including Trad jazz ,Classics, music from Shows, Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Placido Domingo,John Tavener, Dame Kiri.. There! that's enough to be going on with! Nice to be in touch again Scrobs. love Di..xx love Di..xx

I didn't think you'd like that, Reevers, but it saved me having to get a BP listening to something which we'd been discussing a day or so ago!
Why don't you tell me what is your desire, and I assure you, I'll get a post which you'll drool over!
