Over the years, I've been somewhat glazed about this argument, as cholesterol seemed to be high on some sort of agenda...
No more!
I'm probably the last to realise this...
So bye bye 'Benecol', 'Olivio', 'I think this should taste like butter but really tastes like money'...

I love butter, but if we bought it I'd eat too much. Crumpets with enough butter to soak all the way through to the plate - that kind of thing.
One advantage of muck like Olivio is that it isn't so delicious.
Butter, one of Gods gifts.
You done arf wind a comment up, MR H!
Absolutely agree with you!
But I'm so old now who really cares whetether the blasted cholerwhateveritis is slightly higher than last year...
I'm still here, and posting gibberish, and that will stay until I get whatever I'm never going to get, because I gave up smoking, started liking more drinking, started eating more things I like, started growing things we liked even more etc etc...
Too right, Thud, and I'm ashamed that I believed all those gummint parasites who said it wasn't right for us.
When one tries to make a living, the media/gummint tend to know that there's a good chance that the general public will believe the bullshit they spout.
Now I'm older, they can get a real broadside, and expect total disbelief from me and Mrs S.
There are still some bloody bastards around and I'll flush out the sods who have peddled this crap about marge!
Watch this space...
Oh, Bollocks, I've posted on my real name - sorry everyone...!
Scrobs,
Butter is one of my favourite foods, lashed in great dollops on my daily morning toast. I also love nice sticky omelettes full of.... well you get the idea.
Just to cheer you up have a read of this. If you don't have much time, just scroll down to the paragraphs on cholesterol.
It is Chinese New Year in these parts so a Kong Xi Fat Choi to you and yours.
Now, back to my horsemeat-free sarnies.
bon appetit
I gave up buying margarine in the 80s when I realised I wasn't bothering to spread it on my toast any more and was just putting the honey/marmalade straight on. Butter is fab. I eat a lot of goats butter these days which Elby disparagingly calls "goat oil" and refuses to touch. Elby LOVES his butter.
Talking about Lurpack, I buy it on the grounds that it is supposedly butter. I don't eat butter of any variety much but when I do I like butter but I do like it to spread.
However recently I noticed that my pack of Lurpack had a bit of water in it and then I noticed some mould on one side of the container. I scraped around for that particular requirement and then realised afterwards that the best before date was several months earlier....
I'm buying real butter from now on!
Stirring stuff, eh Reevers?
We've got some Benecol stashed away to use a couple of hours before we go for the dreaded blood tests...
I don't think I've ever tasted Goat's butter Lils, but I lve Goats cheese - marvellous!
The subject of 'Goat Oil' does sound like an early morning argument, but there again, so does 'Hi', sometimes...:0)
Blues, that is a sure sign that you're a fitness fanatic, but I know what you mean!
