Scrobs is back to watching and listening to lovely people after a big week watching and listening to not so lovely people.
Joan of Arc didn't have the chances we all have these days.
And just as an aside, this theme probably permeates Scrobs' nerve endings at least once every day. The clip is utterly captivating.

ReplyDeleteAgree, I went online to listen to a few interviews she gave to Michael Aspel etc, and it does one the world of good to hear normality in a celeb.
Thanks Reevers, that bit of cello in the Moody Blues clip is possibly the one tiny piece of music that is always around - and has been since a chum lent me the album in 1970.

ReplyDeleteYou mentioned in a post that you were once called 'Kate' by a bloke in a bar, and, it just happened that I had to go to London the next day, and my Ipod needed recharging.
So off I went, and at the same time, re-recorded the first part of 'Aerial', because I was getting a bit fed up with what was on my playlists.
And so, this set of tracks became required listening...
I think this is the best one, and as my chum said 'Mrs Bertolozzi' was awful, I tried it just one more time to see if I agreed.
Not true, and actually a good tone poem, and indeed, a thoughtful tale.
But the track you've just heard is relentless. I have also to confess that it's been playing (softly through the earphones) on three occasions when I've dozed off on the train, and woken up to the inexorable rhythm, which, after several tinctures in 'Finos' or elsewhere, is indeed an eyeopener...
