Raedwald...

The bad news that Raedwald is moving away, and may not be on the side of the screen so often, is bad enough, but the really bad news is that Scrobs is set to continue until there is a need to shuffle off this mortal coil...

I'll really miss the daily dose of his real writing, most of which I agreed with, or perhaps I learned something, because it was either that, or the daily press, which I'll never pay for, and usually contained such rubbish.

I suppose his future posts will be more in line with - say Thud's, because he's going to do up an old farmhouse, which was an ambition of mine for some years until we realised that we were not really ever going to do such a dream...

Good luck Raeders, I hope you'll reappear, perhaps when you're on holiday!

  1. Good fellow. Getting out while the ports are still open.

Bon voyage and bonne chance to him.

.. another one bites the dust...

  2. I enjoyed his posts even when I disagreed, perhaps he could continue while giving us his views in his new life?

  3. Raeders was really really required reading, Reevers.

I usually look at various headlines in the press, get fed up, and then see what he has to say, to set me up for the day!

We've lost so many good bloggers, so I'm now stuck with Scrobs, which really does mean - er stuck...

  4. Yes, I disagreed with him on occasions, Thud, but let's see what he makes of his farmhouse, as your project will be a hard one to beat!

  5. Yes Senor Scrobs, I agree. I used to drop in there occasionally for a bit of sanity, along with Breitbart and Qango and his Capitalists. Problem is one needs several hours a day to keep up with everybody and all the commenters - and the shopping etc won't do itself unfortunately. I also used to contribute to Guido before he moved to that idiot system he now runs, so although I drop in for a read, I now rarely contribute any pearls of wisdom (other than in here of course!).

  6. What I like(d) about his posts, Reevers, was the straight talking, with no waffle, which is in direct contrast to the waffle fed to the people by politicians - perhaps with one or two exceptions.

I've also found trying to post on Guido tiresome, and seldom bother these days. Breitbart is a good site to retain some sanity too!

    So we're agreed then...
