Interim weather discussion...

Yet again, the blasted weather forecasters have got it wrong!

I'm supposed to be out there, clearing some garden stuff and mowing everywhere, but; Oooooh Noooo, it's bloody raining again, and now I have to wait a day or so!

What do we pay these people for?

  1. I fear this summer will slip away and the thought of it leaves me rather disconcerted.

  2. I'm thrilled with the weather having re-seeded the lawn. I's not too wet just a fine drizzle keeping the lawn moist for a few days :-)

    Pip, who is gnome-less.

  3. Never mind. Relax. Put your feet up. Let it be. All in good time. No need to a slave to your garden mate!! It'll still be there long after you've gone.

  4. Weather forecasts are like newspapers, I don't understand why anyone takes any notice of them!

Thud I am predicting a heatwave. Not because I think we'll have one but because it would be rather nice to have one.

  5. I reckon we're well over a month late this year already, Thud!

It's the lack of daylight which will tell a sorry tale, let alone the minimal sunshine when we all need it!

  6. The right sort of rain for once Pips!

Er - what's this being gnomeless? You given up on Private Eye or summat...?

  7. It is a tempting thought, Reevers, but I'd rather like to use it before I shuffle off...

  8. Good point there, Blues! The BBC website is actually pretty good as it shows hourly increments, but Darren Bett isn't too hopeful fort much in the next few weeks...

Mind you, last year was our best ever veg year, despite the awful weather!

  9. I've changed my mind, bring back the sun. I can get the hose out. I'm freeeeeeezing! Central heating's on. And the guaranteed 4 day germinating super wonderful grass seed isn't.

    Brr, said Pip.

  10. It's just too cold, Pips! I've got twelve famous tomato plants just waiting to go in a greenhouse I haven't built yet, and they're getting leggier by the day!

This weather is just appalling, and we've had eighteen months of crap conditions.
