Left on a jet plane...

...

Farewell Lovely Lady.

May The Early Morning Rain fall gently and always revive the flowers you sang so beautifully...

Sleep well.

  1. That was lovely, Scrobs. I've grown up singing those songs but not realising who made them famous. The soundtrack of my life. RIP Mary.

  3. Pips, I used to learn all their songs from one of their song books - even Mrs S tried a few chords from the same book too...

'Early morning rain' was always the favourite, but I missed out on a chance in 1967 when I played 'Too much of nothing' to a lady chum...

Just too thick in those days!

  4. Reevers, it damn well is - I did 'Stewball' at an evening in 'The Mermaid' in Rye years ago, and it still haunts... (the song, not the hotel, although the old place has several old wives tales attached to it...)

  5. Elecs, she was lovely, we all loved her then, and to hear 'Old coat' again would just bring the whole day to a shuddering close...

  6. She was very lovely Scrobs although I am unfamiliar with their work. I can't find Old Coat played by P P and M for you :-(
